#1685 - Harry Callahan
“It’s the subject matter that counts. I’m interested in revealing the subject in a new way to intensify it…… wanting to see more makes you grow as a person and growing makes you want to show more of life around you”~ Harry Callahan (1912-1999)

Harry was one of American Photography’s greatest inventive talents. During a career that spanned six decades he pursued an individual and experimental approach and investigated a wide range of themes, techniques and materials. Yet he cherished no photographs more than the images of his wife Eleanor, which form an intimate visual diary of a deep and loving relationship. These are not photographs. These are love poems.
