#911 - Harry Callahan

“Eleanor was innocent and I was innocent.
I just try to photograph what I like. I thought she was beautiful. I intuitively photographed her. All my photography is innocent”

~ Harry Callahan

Harry often said that he came alive when he was photographing. One can sense that in all his work, his drive to create something special. He wasn’t an intellectual per se or obsessed with theory or technique. He knew that if he was ever to achieve anything in this medium he had to just do it, understanding that if you don’t do it you don’t know what might happen.
