I aim to engage with the world with wide-open senses. My work is about the magic moments of life as well as its inconveniences. I want to take pictures while forgetting about the process of photography, until I’m saturated with an existential sense of life.
~ Paul Cupido
Paul’s work is driven by his artistic approach at every stage, from the initial idea to the final print. The kozo paper softens the tones in a way that feels incredibly quiet and subtle—almost as if the image might fade if you stare at it long enough. It’s something you really have to experience in person; it’s not easily explained, only felt. When I look at his work, I feel myself drifting into his memories, and through the power of photography, I’m able to make them my own.
