#1885 - Eve Arnold
“She made love with the camera or perhaps with herself but acted for her public.Being photographed was a way of letting herself be caressed and appreciated in a very in offensive way."

~ Eve Arnold
(1912-2012)

“A career is wonderful but you can’t curl up with it in a cold night.”

~ Marilyn Monroe
(1926-1962)

One of the great on set photographs ever taken. Is Marilyn acting this emotion for the scene or personally feeling the inner tumult for real? I guess we will never know the answer, but this ambiguity is what makes this image so moving and powerful.
