Harsh light and deep shadow shape its visual language, alternately revealing and withholding, casting figures into brilliance or obscurity. Every corner seems to tell a story, whether you stop to notice or not. Working within these conditions, from dim subway corridors to sun-blasted avenues, demanded more than skill. It required instinct, patience, and an unwavering eye for the unexpected. Oh, to be a New Yorker, if only in another life!
