#1850 - Pentti Sammallahti
“For centuries we Finns have been living in the forest, but separately and alone. That is why we are unsocial and silent people or at least considered to be so.

Perhaps that's the reason I enjoy silence and remote districts photographing life and environments that are vanishing. The transience of things often changes the importance and value of a photograph.

The world changes, the photograph remains."

I could go on about why I choose to surround myself with the work of Pentti Sammallahti. His photographs inspire my mind and fill my heart with every glance. Beyond the images themselves, Pentti is one of the most humble, sincere, and warm-hearted people I know. Embrace captures the true spirit of both his work and his character—leaving me speechless and full of joy every time.
