If I were ever cast away on a desert island with only ten photographs, this would surely be one of them. It strikes straight to the heart like an arrow. Its composition and the soul within the image have stayed with me—hauntingly—for more than 40 years since I first encountered it. Timeless. Eternal. What is she daydreaming about?
