“Only time will reveal the value of creative photography. If they have significance they will grow more alive and important with the years. The passing of time will reveal new hidden aspects in the photographs”
~ Louis Stettner
(1922-2016)
Louis was equally at home in New York and Paris, deeply rooted in two completely different cities. He constantly found subject matter that intrigued him and never ran out of fresh ideas during his long and productive career .I recently came across this rare photograph. It seems almost like a self portrait of a wise and strong man whose path as a creative was never easy but whose passion always endured. Louis almost makes the car in the snow seem human, with eyes, a nose and mouth.
