"Mysteries lie all around us, even in the most familiar things, waiting only to be perceived."

~ Wynn Bullock

Wynn's daughter, Barbara, has so kindly reflected on some of her father's images and it's inspiring to hear her thoughts and memories of her father and his photography.

"To appreciate the difference between the photograph my father made and titled Point Lobos Tide Pools, 1972 and the one most of us would take, all you have to do is invert the image like this...By simply turning the image up-side-down, Dad created a new and intriguing landscape, a world that challenges established views of how things are or “should” be. Reflecting his unquenchable curiosity and profound wonderment in life, Dad’s images are not only an embodiment of his creative journey, I love how they inspire my own search for meaning and understanding as well. "

~ Barbara Bullock-Wilson

A beautiful reflection by Barbara Bullock-Wilson. Turning the image upside-down seems like a simple shift, yet it offers a fresh, playful perspective, much like seeing the world through a child’s eyes. It’s as if he’s saying that there’s no single way to interpret reality, only layers to explore, each one inviting us deeper into understanding and curiosity. What a gift that this creativity continues to inspire —an amazing legacy to leave behind.

Peace and love,
Peter
