“I was aware that Pete Townshend might be difficult as he had a history of being impossible with the press. On the contrary, I found him to be very cooperative to the point of giving orders to everyone around him that I was to have complete access and could even go on stage during a performance”

~ Harry Benson

“Rock music is important to people because it allows them to escape this crazy world. It allows them not to run away from the problems that are there but to face up to them but at the same time sort of DANCE ALL OVER THEM. That’s what rock and roll is all about”

~ Pete Townsend

Yes many of us are from the same generation as Pete and Roger. We have rocked with them for so many years now. They are great inspiring guys and have my respect that they are still at it and haven’t just gone out to graze. Their energy and commitment to what they love to do is inspiring.

Their knees may ache and they may not be able to physically reach the same heights or hit the same notes but they turn up and still put on a great show.
