One of the most iconic sports photographs in history. Much like Neil Leifer’s legendary photograph of Muhammad Ali standing over Sonny Liston, Nat Fein found his own perspective, choosing to photograph Babe Ruth from behind while the other photographers gathered in front of him. Ruth’s frail figure, set against the vast stadium where he built his legacy, makes this image a particularly moving tribute to one of baseball’s greatest heroes.
