When Jeff brought these in for the first time, I felt an overwhelming sense of quiet. Immediately, I felt this unique act of communication happening from one image to the next. When you take a landscape so vast and infinite and scale it down, it gives itself to you in a new way. The Gesture series - a true reflection of Jeff's character as well - humble, genuine, kind, inviting.
The Gesture series works as a singular image, but those who have connected with this work love to tell their own stories, arranging them in grids - interpreting them in their own way through the communication between subjects and elements.
