"The wandering photographer sees the same show that everyone else sees. He, however, stops to watch it."
~ Edouard Boubat
(1923 - 1999)
Edouard Boubat, one of France's most celebrated postwar photographers best known for his poetic images of children. Having witnessed the Nazi cruelty, he wanted his photographs to only show the beauty of life, wherever he found it. Invariably the emotion evoked by his images is tenderness.
