Dear Sabine was the last of that generation of French humanist photographers who passed away in 2021.
She was always gracious with her time and always acknowledged her appreciation of the attention she received from her many admirers.
I remember our last rendezvous.
She was due to attend a book signing in her honor. I picked her up and took her to the venue. She patiently signed books for over 4 hours and personalized each one. I kept bringing her food and coffee to keep her going.
I think she was 92 years old at the time. A real trouper and always full of life.
End of an era for sure.
