"After living for nearly a hundred years on this planet, I now understand that the most important place on Earth is not on land, but at sea.”

~ David Attenborough
(b. 1926)

The beauty and mystery of the ocean is something that has been the subject of many photographers, however, Layton gives us an intimate look at the creatures that call the endless blue their home, and furthermore, the shells their home. Layton’s images give us a chance to slow down and to appreciate the wondrous design of the small and often forgotten creatures that make this planet what it is.
