Caj Bremer
Photographer Caj Bremer (born 1929 in Helsinki) is one of the biggest names in post-war Finnish photojournalism. He is known especially for his black and white photo reportages. In this retrospective exhibition, Ateneum Art Museum presents the works of Bremer and his storytelling role as a photographer.
Bremer has a precise and insightful eye. He has an unfailing ability to control the light and composition in rapidly changing conditions. He is able to extract the essential into a seemingly simple image often characterised by a subtle sense of humour.
