Burt Glinn first became known for his spectacular color coverages of the South Seas, Japan, Russia, Mexico and California.
Glinn was one of the original contributing editors to "New York magazine." He was a former president of the American Society of the Media Photographers. As a member of the Magnum Photographic Co-operative since the beginning of his career in 1952, he has served as president and chairman of the board.
