Annie Leibovitz (American, b. 1949)
Leibovitz was born in Waterbury, Connecticut, the third of six children and a third-generation American. She began her career with Rolling Stone magazine in 1970 while still a student at San Francisco Art Institute. In 1983 Leibovitz joined the staff of Vanity Fair, and has produced several iconic portrait photos, including Bruce Springstein’s “Born in the U.S.A.” album artwork, and Caitlyn Jenner’s debut photographs in Vanity Fair Magazine.
